The Creation of the Humanoids
Wesley Barry | USA | 1962 | 75 minutes
![]() | A race of androids are created to rebuild after World War III but their human qualities provoke fear and bigotry among the survivors. Said to be a favourite of Andy Warhol, it plays out like a 50s B-movie version of "Blade Runner" (but a lot cheaper), using man's fascination with machines to examine what it is to be human.
The Creation of the Humanoids is screening with The Earth Dies Screaming - http://edinburghfilmguild.org.uk/film.php?id=42 and your ticket is valid for both films.
