We also received a distinction for Best Film Programming.

We have 0ur usual eclectic selection of mini-seasons, 16 in all, exploring the likes of Luis Buñuel’s Mexican films; Budd Boetticher’s Ranown cycle of Westerns; Film Noir in France and Hollywood, Roberto Rossellini’s history films and many others rarely seen on the big screen.

The EFG’s 82nd Season

The regular season at the Edinburgh Film Guild may be over, but there are still two bonus seasons:

On Fridays at 8pm we have Ozsploitation, or Australian Exploitation films from the early 1970s to mid-1980s.

On Sundays at 6pm we have Indian Cinema: A Rasa Based Approach. Each of the films in this season will be introduced by Piyush Roy, a PhD student at Edinburgh University. Piyush will also lead a post-film discussion.

All members are welcome to attend these screenings.
