2014-15 Programme

The Edinburgh Film Guild screened over 100 films in its 85th season, running from late September 2014 to early April 2015.

The main programme comprised 16 mini-seasons, each themed around a particular genre, director, actor, country, or subject, and each featuring six screenings, showing on consecutive weeks.

In addition there were seasonal screenings for Halloween and Christmas.

There were four screening times a week. Sunday afternoon, Sunday evening, and Wednesday and Friday evenings.

On Sunday afternoons at 4:30pm:

  3. Gian Maria Volonte (11 January – 15 February)
  4. Blacklisted (22 February – 29 March)

On Sunday evenings at 7pm:

  1. Scotland on Screen (21 September – 26 October)
  2. Spanish Cinema Under Franco (2 November – 7 December)
  3. Jean Harlow (11 January – 15 February)
  4. Contemporary Quebecois Cinema (22 February – 29 March)

On Wednesday evenings at 7pm:

  1. Albanian Cinema (24 September – 29 October)
  2. Lon Chaney (5 November – 10 December)
  3. Stranger than Fiction (14 January – 18 February)
  4. Anthony Mann (25 February – 1 April)

On Friday evenings at 7pm:

  1. Boris Karloff (26 September – 31 October)
  2. The Krimi (7 November – 12 December)
  3. Roger Corman Directs (16 January – 20 February)
  4. David Cronenberg (27 February – 3 April)
