The EFG programme for 2012-13 was divided into sixteen themed mini-seasons, typically containing six screenings. These were:

- 60 (in)glorious years – Monarch Biopics
- Ghosts
- 1930s Horror Films
- Peter Cushing Centenary
- Le Fantastique
- Sex and drugs and Sausage Rolls – 1970s British Exploitation Cinema
In addition there were three seasonal screenings, for Halloween, Christmas and Valentines Day.
The mini-seasons were screened on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays in four ‘blocks’:

- 70s Britsploitation – Friday evening (8pm)
Second four mini-seasons:

- French Fantastique – Friday evening (8pm)

On occasion Sunday afternoon films started earlier than 4:30pm were their length such that they would otherwise overrun into the 7pm slot.
