Guild 50th Anniversary Season, 1979-1980

THE SEASON. The Edinburgh Film Guild celebrated its 50th Anniversary during its 1979-1980 season. This was the second year of screenings at ‘Filmhouse’, having opened in 1978.

THE SCREENINGS took place in the single screen of the recently opened ‘Filmhouse’, 88 Lothian Road, EH3 9BZ.

PROGRAMME NOTES The Guild Council expressed its confidence that the Edinburgh Film Guild would “play an important part in the realisation of the enormous potential of the Filmhouse in the promotion of Film Culture in Scotland.”
